The StormMaster Slate and StormMaster Shake lines use a heavier laminated shingle with a 130-mph wind rating; their replacement tabs are thicker and the nailing zone is wider than standard three-tab stock. The Pinnacle Pristine line carries the Scotchgard algae-resistance warranty, which matters in Oakland because the marine layer off the Bay keeps north-facing slopes damp enough for streaking.
